Truly Simple Inventory was built to help you track the things you own. Whether you’re a homeowner documenting belongings for insurance purposes, a renter keeping track of personal gear, a collector bringing order to your hoard, or just someone trying to remember all those serial numbers and warranty dates, this app gives you a reliable, easy-to-use record of your possessions.

It's designed to be calm, practical, and highly functional. You can easily record where each item is kept in your house, what it cost, its serial number, and safely store photos of receipts and PDFs of user manuals.

There's a one-time, lifetime in-app purchase that allows for an unlimited number of items and unlocks the export tools, but you can add up to 10 items and use all the core features for free, forever.

• The Insurance Report export was built specifically to take the headache out of insurance claims. It formats everything room-by-room with the make, model, serial number, and purchase price clearly displayed.

• Whenever you buy something new, consider snapping a quick photo of the receipt and the user manual before tossing them in a drawer. Having these things digitized on your phone is a lifesaver when a random warranty issue comes up three years later.

• I built this app because I wanted a straightforward way to track warranties and other object-specific information, and wanted to have a reliable record of my things for peace of mind. Most inventory apps are either overly complicated enterprise tools or require a monthly subscription. Truly Simple Tools are built to be good, basic apps that do what they need to do with minimal clutter and no subscriptions.

Currently, the app is available for iOS 17.0 or later and macOS 14.0 or later (I'll continue to make these apps as back-compatible as possible, but some of the visual elements and data structuring rely on capabilities offered by modern versions of iOS and macOS).
