About the App
Checklist Archive was built to help you manage the complex routines you do semi-regularly, but not so often that you have the process memorized, and for common sets of tasks you need to get 100% perfect every time.
Whether it's packing for a long trip, doing a deep house clean, or completing a quarterly work project, you can build reusable checklists (with checkboxes, headers, text, divider lines, and spacers) and save them for later. Evolve them over time as your needs change, use categories to keep everything organized, and export them as CSV or PDF files.
Like all Truly Simple Tools, Checklist Archive prioritizes the fundamentals. There's no bloat, no complex onboarding, and absolutely no subscriptions. The app is free to use, with a $4.99 one-time, lifetime purchase if you'd like to unlock the ability to manage more than five checklists at a time.

Tips & More Info
Getting the most out of Checklist Archive is all about finding small ways to reduce friction in your recurring routines. Here are a few ways to use the app more effectively:
- Keep it in the Mac menu bar: If you’re using the macOS app, you can pin your most important or frequently used checklist directly to your menu bar. It stays out of your way until you need it, making it perfect for daily startup routines or end-of-day wrap-ups.
- Share lists with CSV export: If you’ve built the perfect project workflow or packing list and want to share it with a friend or co-worker, export it as a CSV. They can import that file straight into their own Checklist Archive app, or open it in any standard spreadsheet tool.
- Print physical copies: Sometimes you just want to check things off with a real pen. Use the PDF export feature to generate a clean, perfectly formatted document you can print and put on the fridge or a clipboard.
- Use timestamps for maintenance tracking: Turn on timestamps to see exactly when you checked an item off. This is useful for semi-regular chores—like changing the furnace filter, backing up your hard drive, or giving your dog their monthly medicine.
- Hide what you don't need: Keep your main lists clean by grouping items into sub-tasks under broad headers (like "Kitchen" or "Electronics"). You can use the expand/collapse arrows to hide sections you aren't working on, keeping your screen focused on the task at hand.
